Our first project was to bring a local newspaper back to Mparntwe Alice Springs. Local newspapers are vital to creating a greater sense of community and shared future. They support constructive community communication instead of destructive negative conversation. Local newspapers are balanced – reflecting both the challenges facing our community but also highlighting the many positive things that people are doing to build community.
The Mparntwe Alice Springs Community Foundation is both excited and proud to have attracted, assisted and supported the establishment of The Centralian Today with the first edition being printed on 31st August 2023.
The weekly Community Builder stories aim to promote, amplify and support the positive community action that is already taking place in Mparntwe Alice Springs.
