Alice Springs is strong, creative, and resilient — but our challenges are real. The Mparntwe Alice Springs Community Foundation was created by locals to help Alice help itself.

Now, through Give2Give, we’re inviting everyone — individuals, businesses, and community groups — to play their part in building a stronger, more connected Alice Springs.

Every dollar you give goes straight into the community.
Thanks to a generous local donor covering administration costs, 100% of funds raised will go to supporting community projects.

How It Works

  • You give — through one of the community giving streams below.
  • Local do-ers apply — for grants ($1,000–$10,000) to support initiatives in those streams.
  •  Multiply — because of generous seed funding donations, every dollar you give will be matched $ for $. Your $100 means $200 going to support community doers.
  •  The community decides — through transparent, local review and celebration of success.

Local donors have already pledged $50,000 to match community giving — with more sponsors on the way.

That means for every $1 you give, at least $2 goes back into Alice Springs.

Your contribution not only funds local initiatives, but it also inspires others to give too.

Choose Your Stream of

You can give through one of three streams — or the General Fund, where we’ll allocate support to where it’s needed most.

1. Strengthening Existing Community Good Stuff

Support what’s already working in Alice Springs — from sports clubs and seniors’ groups to multicultural, volunteer organisations and more.
Examples might include:

  • New sports equipment for local clubs
  • Volunteer training and coordination
  • Seniors’ intergenerational tech sessions

2. Supporting New Initiatives

Help fresh ideas take root — from youth arts projects to new community markets and environmental action.

  • Youth arts collective exhibition
  • Multicultural food market start-up
  • Community-led buffel-busting project

Bring people together. Celebrate stories, share music, and create belonging across cultures and generations.

The Mparntwe Alice Springs Community Foundation is the first and only community foundation in the Northern Territory. We are independent, not government, not outsiders — a community-owned structure for long-term benefit.
